Fix our Church

We are seeking your support for this church that has provided a home for faith in the heart of Ponsonby for over 150 years

Urgent action is needed to fix the walls of All Saints, which are cracking apart. There are problems with the foundations and support structure. The bell tower houses 13 bells, but extensive renovations are needed before the bells will ring out again over Ponsonby.

Our story

Since the first church was consecrated over 150 years ago the congregation and Vicar of All Saints have focused on supporting the local community which, for many decades, comprised largely factory workers, soldiers, railway and port workers in Ponsonby.
The parish provided space for the first public school in the district. There have been two churches on the current site with the present marae-style church commissioned in 1957. It was designed by Prof Richard Toy, Dean of Auckland School of Architecture.
Its ‘village green’ space has long been enjoyed by people as a place to relax. We want this to continue for many years for the community to appreciate and enjoy. Your help is needed
